REDEMPTION STORIES
“if my people, which are called by my name, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will heal their land.” (2nd Chronicles 7:14, KJV)
I watched a movie, a love story. I realized that love stories, at least those with happy endings, are also redemption stories. We need to be redeemed. Only God has the ability to redeem us.
The verse above is a response to calamity. Drought, locusts, pestilence are the listed troubles. Ask people who have suffered from any of these, and they are calamities affecting many. The results are horrifying. The greatest calamity of all is separation from God.
Separation from God has eternal consequences. I believe our story is a love story. God loves us. The redemption of our souls is possible because of Jesus sacrifice. The requirement for us is belief in Jesus as God, and human. Admit your sins. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Confess that Jesus is Lord.
Remember that God is the original Prepper and that we should learn from the best.
